Come on people! It’s not hard to treat other places that you are a patron, like it’s your home. And if you really do treat your home like this… I have no words for you. I have literally seen people take something off the shelf in a grocery store, eat it, and leave the packaging on some vegetables, no joke. What do you think happens after that? The packaging just disappears? Someone has to clean it up, and despite popular belief, there is not someone hired specifically to do that. There isn’t a job title of “Clean up after anything that sloppy people leave behind”, these are not janitors either. Janitor’s are there for general messes like dust, mopping scuffs made by normal walking, changing trash bags of non-sloppy people.
This especially rings true for movie theaters, and I use to be the “They were hired to clean up after me, so I help keep them jobs” type. However, if they weren’t hired to clean up so many popcorn bags or soda cups left behind. These people were hired to to clean up the popcorn you accidentally missed from your mouth in a dark room or the condensation caused by your soda cup. Not to clean up your left over Junior Mints you decided you didn’t want to bring to the garbage outside the exit you were walking past anyway.
Whatever you end up doing, love it. The way you loved the projection booth when you were a little squirt.
